Just started to do this on my streaming stick+ 3810 from 2019. Typically after several hours of use. I'd already found that pulling out the power for 10 seconds and restarting worked but it is really annoying. You have to find the channel and the program again.
It seems that the stick runs too hot - no vents at all. We've taken to pulling it's plug overnight.

Unfortunately it isn't heat from the TV. I've had to use an HDMI extender ever since I first used the device. The location of the socket means the stick won't fit any other way.
