I have a Roku hooked up to my Tv. In the past week or so, the wrong local channels started showing up on my Hulu Live. Hulu did all they can do, internet company is no help. However, the right channels show on my Hulu app on my phone, it's just the tv that's an issue. I've reset everything, changed passwords, etc. Is this a Roku issue?

We understand that you are having issues with the Hulu channel. We're happy to assist you with this. Kindly try the recommended basic troubleshooting sequence below:

1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

If the content still shows the same error, we would need some backup from the channel support team. Please contact them directly and share the issue. They might need to release an update in order to resolve it.

When watching Hulu Live on my desktop the local channels are correct.  On my roku I've performed the listed suggestions w/o success.   My local news channels are not local.   

I've removed the Hulu app from the Roku, rebooted the Roku and the wrong local channels are still replacing the local channels. 

This just started this week 6/16/24

Mine finally returned to normal last week. I did all the reboots and other suggestions with no luck. So I just gave up. Then last week, I turned on TV and they were back to normal. It was so weird. Hopefully the same will happen for you soon.

Maybe I can I help you, my home zip code does not right local channels either.  If I use it, I will lose my local Fox and PBS from Chico-Redding (California).  I would get the two stations from Sacramento.  I use the zip code only a few miles from my home.  Also my home zip code is in two DMAs.  Hulu needs to add a county option (parish for Louisiana) this save a lot of headaches for everybody.  See if you have a zip code that has all the right local channels.

Yes. I flipped on the TV one night about 2 or 3 weeks after the original post and the correct channels were back. Not sure what I did. I talked to Hulu support and they fixed some things on their end. I also removed and re added the Hulu app. Even totally reset my Roku. It still took a few weeks to return to normal after doing all that. Good luck to you! 🙂

Yes, I solved the issue for me.   I had already removed the app, re-installed it, and rebooted the roku.

What I had not give thought to was to log out of Hulu.  Each time I re-installed the app, I signed in thinking I was doing a complete installation of Hulu but I guess each time was not logging me out just because I removed the app.   Log out of Hulu and hopefully the location issue will be fixed.
