When in any channel, I cannot select one movie/show/episode at a time, if I try to go to the one directly next to it, it jumps 2 or 3 over, and does the same up & down. I thought it was the remote so I purchased a new one to fix the issue. Well, it does the exact same thing. Next I downloaded the Roku app and tried it as the remote....it works perfectly. So, what is the problem with the remotes? Or is it a problem with the Roku Stick? TYIA for your help.

Most likely you've received an upgrade to your Roku software, and you just need to restart your Roku. [Note: If you have a Roku TV with "Fast TV Start" enabled, turning it off/on just puts it in/out of a standby mode and does not give you a full restart.]
Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power" or if you don't have a "Power" option, under "Settings > System".
If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.

Try using the Roku app on your phone as the remote, it works for me.

Put system restart in your bag of tricks. It's the first thing I try when something isn't working right.
