Hello! @Hitnsfun,
We're thrilled to have you join us here in the Roku Community!
Thank you for contacting us about your inquiry regarding the Roku Pin number. We're pleased to help.
A Roku PIN (personal identification number) is a four-digit code that allows you to authorize who can make purchases and add apps on your Roku streaming device. It can also be used as a parental control feature to keep children from watching certain kinds of content on The Roku Channel. Using the Roku PIN is optional, but it's a good idea if you're not the only person who uses your Roku streaming devices.
How to access your PIN preferences
Use the following instructions to create or reset your Roku PIN:
- Sign in to your Roku account
- Under PIN Preference, select Update
- To set up a PIN, select Create a PIN
- To reset an existing Roku PIN, select Change PIN
How to set controls for purchases and add apps
The PIN allows you to control what can be purchased and what apps can be added to your Roku streaming device. Note that the PIN controls apply only to subscriptions purchased directly through Roku or The Roku Channel.
- Sign in to your Roku account
- Under PIN preference, select Update
- Choose your PIN preferences for making purchases and adding apps
- Require a PIN to make purchases and add apps
- Require a PIN to make purchases
- A PIN is not required to make any purchases or add any apps
- Select Save preferences
