WHY are my SEARCHES on YouTube constantly being deleted?
It used to happen infrequently & now it happens everytime I turn off utube.
Is it Roku deleting my FAVORITE SEARCH TOPICS (we have 12 at least)
Or is it You Tube deleting my searches on roku?
This ONLY happens with Utube not any other streaming app on the Roku.
I have gone to settings and AND PREVENTED from CLICKING on HISTORY & DATA.
It only allows me to click on (Clear Watch History) which I have NEVER DONE.
The posts on Google all say this is a ROKU PROBLEM & Noone has a FIX.
I NEED A FIX.
TIRED of having to re enter all my FAVS from Memory
I don't remember them all & don't have time
It's RIDICULOUS
Any HELP APPRECIATED

I recently had the same problem! The issue is with the app so Roku can't help. Unfortunately you can't get a straight answer from Youtube help either - they assume you must have history turned off, and offer no advice on what to do if that's not the problem. Try logging out of the app and logging in again. I had to do this about a dozen times but it DID eventually reset and start saving searches again. That was several weeks ago and the problem has not come back. (Your old searches are gone forever.) Good luck!
Hi @pikabun91
Welcome to the Roku Community!
If the issue persists from one channel after attempting the suggestions above, videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help.
Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developer themselves. In this case, there's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Warm Regards,
Lianna
The problems with is definitely with YouTube. Unfortunately, asking them for help does not get an answer to this specific problem. It's not covered by any help article, and while several other people have posted in the community forum asking for help with the same problem, there has never been a helpful answer. I had to do a lot of searching before finding a potential solution on a third-party site.
Thanks for the quick reply - you guys are far more helpful than Google! 😁
