I paid thru newsmax too..but watch on roku tv..so I don't know who's at fault just hope they get it straightened out..at leat I cab get it now, I just have to log in every time.
I contacted Roku and got a refund through them.
Then I went to newsmaxplus.com and repurchased the subscription directly through there.
I received the email confirmation and invoice in which I am directed to access my purchase and register the account.
Clicking on the provided link I'm taken to the newsmax.com website where a popup shows up at the bottom (using firefox) which shows a green Start button. It advises that I should:
1. Click on 'Start'
2. Activate your account
3. Access your content.
When I click on Start I'm taken to the diganexa.com website where they check my connect speed, identify it as 'fast' and give me a Continue button.
There I'm directed to enter my email address and password to create the account. When I do so I get an SSL error and cannot proceed. I get a similar response using Microsoft Edge.
I'm not even sure the diganexa thing is legit or an online scam site, there are no indications that it's associated with newsmax+ other than it's on their home page.
At this point I'm not sure if I even have a newsmax+ account. I'll try to put it into my Roku later and see what happens.
Solution for making the Newsmax plus login sticky is probably found
and is working so far for me. In the options to login will be shown a
selection to login using your email for usual Roku login or to use
a different email and select the option to use a different email
but then enter the email used for your Newsmax plus subscription
and fill in the password associate with your Newsmax plus subscription.
So far for the brief time of testing I have done this makes the login
sticky. It is not prompting for login after closing the app and/or
returning to the Home menu thumbnails and using another app
like Amazon Prime, not prompting for another login. If it does
prompt for another login I am hopeful it will return to the option
to login using the default email login for Roku, and again choose
the use a different email to get the saved password for the
alternate email. In my case it is the same email as for Roku
but of course the Newsmax plus app password is different.
I am hopeful this is the fix for the non-sticky password issue.
I'm having the same problem, can't get the app to work, keeps saying that I have been signed out when I'm actually signed in, I can only watch content on N2, but I didn't pay 49.99 for that when I can get access to N2 for free on the Roku channel, today I canceled my subscription to Newsmax until they can fix the issue, very disgusted that I can't watch my favorite news anymore.
Our posts passed each other in flight so try what I suggested
earlier and select option to login "use a different email" and
enter password that matches your Newsmax Plus subscription.
This is working so far and may be the fix for non-sticky password.

A new topic I have posted about the login issue and a possible fix.

Roku would not give me a Newsmax refund - said I would have to just wait until the current paid contract ran out. How did you manage to get a refund?
Newsmax stopped offering free streaming. There will still be a free feed of Newsmax, but it will no longer be the live main feed. Instead, they are launching Newsmax2, a second feed different from the main one for free streaming channels. The new service will be available tomorrow, November 1st, 2023.Oct 31, 2023
