Hi, just pulled my TV out of storage, haven’t used in a few years.
It’s got a Roku stick, the Home Screen comes up, but can’t access channels.
when I click on Netflix I get
“Netflix has experienced an internal error. Please try again later”
with Prime Video I get
”Application out of date, This version of the Amazon instant video app is no longer supported…”
when I go to settings and click system update it says the system has been updated, but doesn’t resolve anything.
is there any way to resolve this or is the device just obsolete?
thanks!
Welcome, @Justinheiple!
We're grateful to have you here in the Roku Community.
Thank you for reaching out. We'd love to provide further information about this.
Before proceeding, could you please provide us with the model number of your Roku streaming stick and the current running software version of your device? It may be possible that the latest software version no longer supports this device.
You may check it here: Roku OS software release notes
We'll be looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Carly
TV brand and model?
Roku model and model number? (Settings / System / About should show you.)
Was this an old TV supplied with a Roku Stick that plugged directly into the TV without a separate power connection? (Roku Streaming Stick 3400 or 3420) These Roku devices are long out of support and cannot run the current versions of many channel apps.
Any Roku device that won't update beyond Roku operating version 11 (11.5 in case of Roku 4) is no longer supported.
