Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

Did anyone ever figure out if this is possible or not?

Re: Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

I'm in UK and recently purchased a roku.

I saw a post by the same name and thought I was replying to it.

I'd like to search for movies and series but only free to me, or on my currently logged in apps?

Is this possible?

Re: Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

Thanks for the quick response, @F1wade!

Consider exploring The Roku Channel to discover a variety of available free content. Furthermore, you may also try to check our official channel store website to help you learn more about the free channels available in your current location.

Here's the link: Roku Channel Store | UK

Furthermore, Roku devices will work in any location. However, certain channels may not be available on your device in that location based on each channel provider's discretion.

We hope you find this information helpful.

Best regards,
Carly

Re: Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

Thanks for quick response @RokuCarly.

But that doesn't help with my question at all.

When you search it shows all tv and film from all apps/channels.

But I want to filter out paid ones, except the ones I am not subscribed to.

Can this be done?

Re: Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

Hi, @F1wade.

My sincerest apologies for the confusion. If you are unable to add/install your paid apps directly on your Home screen, I suggest installing this via the Roku Channel Store website.

Here are the steps to help you How to add apps on your Roku streaming device:

  1. Go to channelstore.roku.com
  2. Sign in to your Roku account
  3. Browse the categories and genres, or search to find a specific app and select Details to learn more about an app
  4. Select Add channel to install the app on your Roku device

If the app does not appear on your Roku device, go to your Roku device and select Settings > System > System update > Check now.

Furthermore, it may be possible that you will still be unable to install these apps on your channel lineup (Home screen) as only limited apps are available on the Roku streaming platform in the UK.

Regards,
Carly

Re: Search only certain apps or only show results for available to me

Hi, @F1wade.

Apologies for the confusion. You may filter out apps you don't want by highlighting the channel tile and pressing the star (*) button on your remote to select "remove app."

Here's our Support article dedicated to this: How do I remove channels from my Roku® streaming device?

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Carly
