I'm watching a House episode right now from the Vidangel Firestick app.  Maybe a difference in content that can be played from the app??

We are tired of the social justice warriors. ROKU wont even permit me to mention them on these forums. We had a family meeting snd we are cancelling ROKU tomorrow. Our subscriptions to Amazon Prime and Netflix are through them and we are canceling those, too, and letting them know why. We were upset when they bowed to the Cancel culture leftists and blocked Chosen, VidAngel, & RT. We are Shoshone Christian’s, not “Americans”. This is a step too far. Goodbye ROKU. Goodbye Netflix. Goodbye Amazon Prime.

Did you mistype? How do you cancel Roku? There is no subscription to use Roku. Are you paying someone a subscription to use a Roku? If so, you're being scammed (yes, this happens). Roku has no usage subscription. It's simply a streaming platform.

Who is "them" that you can't mention? VidAngel? The very ones mentioned title of the thread? And that I'm mentioning now?

The Chosen is on Peacock TV, which is available on Roku. Or are you talking something different?

VidAngel was never supported by Roku. VidAngel put up an app in the Non-certified apps library, which Roku announced last October was being revamped, and apps (they call them channels) had to be certified or would have a life limit of 120 days. The idea is to give the developers time to update code to standards and get the app certified. And 120 days after Roku announced it, they removed every non-certified app, including VidAngel, PornHub, and everything in between. No targeting, simply removal of non-certified apps.

RT being removed was a bad move by Roku and the other platforms, in my opinion.

I have dumped Roku because they killed the Vidangel app, and I moved onto this Android TV box device:

It's only $40 and just as good as Roku. Vidangel works just fine on it, and it's unlikely that the Google Store will ever kill Vidangel, because it's a very open store and they don't seem to have an agenda like Roku.

There are restrictions in the Google Play store as well. The difference is you can side-load apps on the Android platform, which you can't do on Roku or Apple TV devices.

Check with Amazon. Fire TV apps can be found during a search on Amazon, best if filtered by apps.

I'm really disgusted by this. When I find an alternative I like, the roku stick is going in the garbage can.
