Why is the sound screwed up and inaudible? Roku Premier

We understand that you are having audio issues with your Roku Premiere streaming device and we're here to provide assistance.

For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried to unplug and plug your Roku streaming device? If so, and the issue issue is still persistent, kindly provide us the following details so that we can pass this along to our appropriate Roku team for further investigation:

  • Serial number of your Roku Premiere, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  • Does this issue occur on a specific channel? If so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
  • Tracker ID when this issue occurs (press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times and provide us with this ID)

We're happy to assist you with your problem with the audio of HDHomeRun. We'd like to know more about it so we can further assist you. Please provide us with some details.

  • Do you have any other device(s) connected to your TV? (e.g., speakers and other sound systems)
  • Are you getting any error messages or error codes while playing content?
  • If you have other Roku devices, are the other Roku device(s) experiencing the same issue with the audio?
  • Can you please check the volume level and mute settings on your TV using your remote?

@nathilliv, are you using any of the "Volume modes" (Leveling, Night)?  If so, set it to "Off" by pressing * on your Roku remote while watching and choosing it on the popup menu.  You may have to change channels or exit the app and restart it for it to take effect.
