Prime app on screen display and play functions changed
Recent update to Prime changes the OSD info and the progress bar, the FF and skip etc have all changed.
and you can no longer see what resolution you are getting while streaming content
I don’t like it

You should report it to Amazon. They're responsible for their app.

If you appreciate my answer, maybe give me a Kudo.
I am not a Roku employee.

Re: Prime app on screen display and play functions changed
It sounds like the recent update introduced some changes to the on-screen display (OSD), including the progress bar, fast-forward, and skip functions. Unfortunately, it seems they’ve also removed the ability to view the streaming resolution, which can be frustrating if you like to check the quality of the content. Much like how visitors at the Gold Souq in Qatar appreciate seeing detailed gold prices before making a purchase, users here prefer having easy access to resolution info and familiar controls. Hopefully, future updates will bring back some of these features, or provide an option to customize the display.

Re: Prime app on screen display and play functions changed
Assuming they removed the resolution information because people were complaining about 4K content that was supposed to be in 4K that wasn’t but there’s a way around it I’ll tell you how you do it

the first thing you do per above with the Roku remote is quickly go left right up down up down in that sequence and a menu will come up, then you go right left up down in that sequence quickly and the second menu will come up and you’ll see it on “contentQuality.” When the menu comes up you can unpause the streaming if you want but the content quality info will show up over a period of 30 seconds it will change and get higher if it is meant to.
to make the menu disappear you do step one again L R U D U D
I am talking about the left right up down buttons around the OK button of course. The menu you’re looking for that has the contentQuality info is called “playback UX“ you’ll see that at the top.
