In the past couple of days, I've noticed that the Prime Video Channel on all my Rokus no longer shows the number of stars for videos like it used to. I really liked being able to see the number of stars reviewers had given to videos and would really like to get it back. I've checked all the settings and searched online for answers. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a fix?
Hello
you're not alone in noticing the absence of the star ratings on Prime Video through your Roku devices. This issue might be related to a recent app update or changes on Amazon's end affecting the way ratings are displayed. Unfortunately, if it's due to a software update or a change in how Prime Video is presented on Roku, there may not be a user-accessible setting to restore it.
Here are a few suggestions you can try:
Check for Updates: Make sure your Roku device and the Prime Video app are both updated to the latest versions. Sometimes features are restored or bugs are fixed in subsequent updates.
Reinstall the App: Removing and reinstalling the Prime Video app on your Roku can sometimes resolve issues with missing features or display problems.
Contact Amazon Support: Since the issue appears to be on Amazon's end, you might want to reach out to their customer support for clarification. They can provide information on whether the star rating feature was intentionally removed or if it's a temporary glitch.
Use the Prime Video Web or Mobile App: If seeing the star ratings is important, you could use the Prime Video app on your smartphone, tablet, or access it via a web browser, as these platforms may still display the star ratings.
Hi @kandjs,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We get that you are no longer seeing the number of start reviews on Prime Video app content. We're here to assist you with this.
After checking the application, we confirmed that the star reviews are still visible on Prime Video. To resolve any potential issues you might be experiencing, we recommend that you first uninstall the Prime Video app from your Roku device. Once that is done, please restart your Roku. This process often helps to refresh the system and may resolve any glitches you are facing.
To remove an app and restart the device please follow the steps below:
Note: If you are removing a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you must cancel the subscription before you see the Remove channel option. For help identifying this type of subscription channel, read the detailed article about removing a channel.
Note: If you are adding a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you will need to resubscribe.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if the issue persists.
Regards,
Riamie
