i clicked on video on playlet it comes up saying errMsg: no valid bitrates is there any other instance i can try i used https://invidious.jing.rocks
Developer introduced a preliminary fix to the backend that appears to be working so far. (although experimental).
1. Go into the Playlet Settings and on the right side under 'Backend' select Invidious.
2. Scroll down to the next section labeled 'Instances'.
3. Instead of selecting the instance showing, arrow Up to the Edit icon and press OK.
4. Using the virtual keyboard, delete the Instance showing in this field so that it empty. Then press Save.
5. Back out to the main Playlet screen and Search/Play your content.
For some reason today the Playlet channel is working. There are some instructions when it is opened but I just started playing videos without doing what the instruction stated. Works fine right now.
Yes, Playlet will work fine for some users using the Playlet backend, it will work for others depending on the Instance used if using invidious API as backend, and finally should work for others using the method now described in the on-screen announcement, via an empty instance. (steps provided in my previous post).
Going to depend on the device being used, the Roku OS, and the settings you have configured in Playlet. In short, most users should be able to get Playlet operational again using one of the above methods.
i just went back on playlet click on video still get error message no valid bitrates is there a address that i can try that will work http://invidious.jing.rocks not seem to work i dont know any other ones to try
i went in instance del it and clicked on save when i went out it showed playlet built-in backend i clicked video still getting error message no valid bitrates still comes up i have playlet on my roku
it will play the short videos when im not login but when i go to search like live cam around the world it comes up with loads of live videos when i try click on one it comes up saying errormsg no vilid bitrates then says errorcode-5 under it
Now that you have deleted the Instance and have "Playlet built-in Backend" showing, see if toggling between Invidious and Playlet (local) under the "Backend" section directly above it gives you any different results.
Also, under the Proxy Videos section, try enabling "Only if Needed".
EDITED: Looks the developer is aware of this issue with very long videos. (ones over 2hrs 30 min). He has a workaround and it will be fixed in the next release of Playlet. See his response to the issue in the Github issue page https://github.com/iBicha/playlet/issues/500.
Personally, I am not seeing this issue when viewing the different cams so maybe try performing a fresh install of playlet on your Roku device.
Remove Playlet. Perform a System Restart. Then Reinstall Playlet.
i did a test there a red X on fetch video details red X on fetch video captions and red X on fetch video thumbnails the rest has green check mark
i unstall it and restarted my roku and reinstalled it back on and still getting same error message errorMsg no valid bitrates
