The AppleTV app V13.5, build 56 that show a log in Activation Code for earlier Roku OS versions does not show on Apple TV app V13.5, build 56 for Roku TV Plus OS 12.5.0 build 4167.
If you try to sign in manually by the remote using email and password you are not logged in but rather get error codes, such as 65123BBE, 65183B73, 65183C18, N/65183CBC infinitum.
You can work around this by either resetting the Internet Network or Resetting the RokuTV, however, if you reset the Network or the Roku TV Plus to log into AppleTV manually rather than by the missing Activation code, OS 12.5.0 build 4167 will brick the Roku TVs Optical port. The only way to get the Roku TV Plus Optical port to work again is to do a Factory Reset. If you do a Factory reset to get the Optical port working again, you are back to square one and in an AppleTV app V13.5 build 56 and Roku OS 12.5.0 build 4167 issue(s) loop.
So two issues:
1. OS 12.5.0, build 4167 bricks the Roku TV Plus Optical Out port if you do a Network or System Reset.
2. Apple TV app 13.5 build 56 for Roku TV Plus OS 12.5.0 build 4167 no longer has Activation Code and will not log in by remote using email and password but rather errors out.

All the best,
John
OS 12.5.0, build 4167 bricked the Roku TV Plus Optical Port if you did a System Restart or Network Reset.

newer
OS 12.5.0 build 4169 shuts off the Optical Port if you do a System Restart.
The only fix to get the Optical Port back alive is to do a System Reset.
