No subtitles in Prime Video

Jump to solution

I have a Roku Express device.  It works generally well but I cannot seem to turn on subtitles in my prime video app.  The option to enable them does appear but turning them on or off does not cause anything to appear on the screen.

Subtitles work fine for Netflix app.  Thoughts?  Anything I might be doing wrong?

I checked and closed captions are working in the prime app now.  I didn’t do anything extra so it may have updated overnight.

Me too.  It just started sometime today.  On other apps, cc works.  I’ve tried resetting the Roku Streaming Stick (3820R2) and updating apps, but no luck.

Just letting you know you aren’t the only one.  If the cc isn’t working tomorrow, I’ll delete the Prime app and reload it.

Same here. I’ve confirmed that the closed captioning is on in both Roku and Prime settings, I’ve confirmed both Roku device and Prime app are up to date. I’ve reset Roku device and Prime app, I’ve deleted and reinstalled Prime app, I’ve unplugged and plugged Roku back in. Still nothing. It worked yesterday.
