I was watching Newsmax last night just fine but today was unable to view without signing in. Received error message about my subscription although no changes have been made. Tried to sign in several times without success, went to my computer and changed my password but still unable to sign in after several more attempts. I will never get the hour or more that I've wasted on this unexpected anomaly.
Hi @Rickmik,
Thanks for reaching us here in the Roku Community!
We want to help and figure out how to get you back on track. A channel authentication problem could occur if an update needs to be applied to the channel. We suggest trying the following steps to see if that resolves the issue.
You can also check for additional support here on how to resolve a channel playback issue.
If the issue persists, we recommend sharing this report with the channel support team for further assistance. It's important to note that most of the channels on Roku are managed directly by the channel providers themselves.
Best regards,
Rey

You can not remove it by hitting the star button - that is not one of the listed options, apparently as it is a paid subscription. What other solutions do you have?
I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. Have you tried contacting Newsmax support directly for assistance with your account?

Try removing the channel via the official Roku remote app on an Android/iOS phone/tablet connected to one of the Rokus on your account. At the bottom of the first screen, click Search and do a search for the installed channel name. On the resulting screen you should get options to Launch the channel on your Roku, or Remove the channel.
I've never tried to remove a subscribed-thru-Roku channel this way (I haven't had one for years, and this may give you an idea of one reason why) but others have reported this works with active subscriptions through Roku.
