I am unable to sign into my new Netflix account on my Roku 2 XS. I enter my email address and password correctly, but receive message “login request failed. Please verify that the information entered is correct.” I have deleted and readied the Netflix channel on my Roku and unplugged the Roku and my router/modem. I have Verizon Fios TV as my internet provider.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @sdevaux54!
Thanks for reporting this to us. We'd like to provide further information about this and help you contact the right support.
Please be aware that Roku does not handle channel logins or authentication. Additionally, it's important to note that many Roku channels are created and maintained by the channel providers themselves. This means that when it comes to logging in or accessing content on specific channels, you may need to directly contact the channel provider for assistance.
You may reach them here for further assistance: Netflix Support | Contact Us
We hope this will be sorted out soon.
Best regards,
Carly
Roku 2 XS (model 3100) was released over 13 years ago, in 2011. The last Roku operating system version this old unit can run is version 9.1. The 2 XS is no longer supported by Roku since the release of Roku operating system version 9.2 in September 2019. Version 14 rolling out now to supported units is the 11th release since 9.1.
I can find no information online as to which Roku models Netflix supports, but there are many channel apps that no longer support the Roku 2 XS because they require features and capabilities added to later more advanced units.
