Wow, it worked. Kind of annoying to have to do that, but at least it works. Thank you!

Remember this isn’t a Roku issue
MLB channel was updated earlier today.
How is not a Roku issue when it happens only when using Roku, not while streaming via phone or computer?
@EdenStone If you look who develops the MLB channel you will notice it’s not Roku. Over 90% of the channels available on Roku are not made by Roku. When you have a problem with the app on your phone is it your phone manufacturers problem? Such as Apple or Samsung? No it’s the app manufacturers issue
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the posts.
As mentioned previously in this thread, for more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
Thanks,
Danny
@BillieAnnie I've been pursuing this relentlessly since I posted here and apparently this is an issue of which Roku is aware. According to a representative from MLBTV, Roku developers are working on a fix. He did not give me a time frame for when Roku expected to have it resolved but there is some solace in knowing that they are aware of the problem and attempting to fix it.
@EdenStone not sure what you spoke to over at the MLB TV. But The issue users are experiencing is it for Roku to fix. MLB is the developer for the MLB channel. Therefore it’s up to MLB to address it and update their channel. Just like it’s not up the Apple to fix an issue with Facebook on your iPhone. It would be up to meta to fix it. The MLB TV app across all platforms has been playing with problems and the release of it. Fire stick users are complaining to Amazon and it doesn’t work properly. People that use Apple TV have also complained about the MLB app.
