Local channels hidden is a safety issue

What is Roku thinking?  Hiding local channels and then having to go and hide streaming channels before you can see them is a major safety issue when there are local events occurring like bad weather.  How many people can’t find a local channel to see what’s going on with a major storm or tornado activity, especially in the Spring. Maybe I’m missing something but this is the only solution I see to get local channels to appear on Roku when you are watching streaming channels. Is Roku just not thinking through this or is there a different solution?

Re: Local channels hidden is a safety issue

Hi @RussO,

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!

We'd love to further investigate this issue that you're having with the local channels. Can you please provide the following information below?

  • May we know what kind of Roku device you are using right now? (Roku Express, Roku streaming stick, Roku Ultra, Roku streambar, Roku TV-Specify)
  • Do you have an antenna that is plugged in at the back of your TV?

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks,                                                                                                                                                    John
