So u can have peacock on an obsolete roku... but not an updated one? That doesn't even make sense....

We'll be delighted to assist you with your inquiry about updating the Peacock channel. What Roku device are you using right now? (e.g., Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV—specify TV) Please be advised that you can update the Peacock channel by highlighting the Peacock channel, pressing the * button, and selecting Check for updates. This will update the said channel.

Exactly what model Roku do you have? Peacock is not available on older Roku's. You can find your model by going to Settings/System/About.

This is the current list for Peacock:

Roku:

Roku 2 (4210X model only)
Roku 3 & 4 (model 4200X or later)
Roku Streaming Stick (model 3600X or later)
Roku Express/Express+ (model 3900X or later)
Roku Premiere/Premiere+ (model 3920X or later)
Roku Ultra/Ultra LT (model 4640X or later) 
Roku TV and Smart Soundbar (model 5000X or later)
