That's within the app, not the Roku itself. There are situations that the app cannot be used on a Roku. If the network is "public", meaning a hotel or dorm situation, or some apartment complexes offer WiFi to their residents, there's a setting in the WiFi that blocks devices from seeing other devices, so the app cannot see the Roku to connect. There's no way to force a connection on that sort of network.

You can’t get much but if you know what you’re doing…add the app FREE MOVIE BROWSER. I just searched for XXX in the browser and got a list of things. I haven’t explored it much but I have watched a few videos! 🤭

That's a matter of opinion about a Chromecast. And you can cast (screen mirror) devices to the Roku, so you get the same result. Open a web browser on your computer, mirror the screen to the Roku, and open any web site you want.
