Faster Alternative To Media Player

I am seeking a faster alternative to Media Player. I use the TV in question to display reference photos for sketching. When using Media Player, it takes a long time to switch from one photo to the next. I'd like to fix this. I tried a couple of third party apps, but they seem to be for video and want me to connect to a server. I don't want video -- I just want to show JPGs.

Any ideas?

Greetings @DJO1

Welcome to the Roku Community and thanks for posting regarding your inquiry for an alternative to the Roku Media Player.

Perhaps @makaiguy or @atc980923 who are Community Experts can provide some insight as they have some familiarity with other media players.

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Faster Alternative To Media Player

I assume you are playing the media from a connected USB drive.  I did find a channel in the store called My Slideshow. No clue if it performs any better. There’s also one called PlayUSB that might do what you want.

Sorry, Roku Media Player is what I use to access photos and music via a DLNA server on my computer.  I have no experience with other players.
