The problem as reported by others continues. For me it started the week of 11-20-2024 and seems related to the temporary ad topics stuffed into the home screen, or the deployment of the new Backdrop feature.
Why are labels "bug" and "UI-Failure" not allowed? They are the most appropriate for this problem. None of those listed are actually useful, such as "General Question".
update:
Device is 4K Streaming Stick
Device says last update was 11/15/2024
Device reset did not resolve the problem.
Hi @wildcard,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
We are happy to provide you with more information about the categories of the Roku Streaming platform, especially the new My Entertainment tab on the Roku menu screen.
Before we start, please check that your Roku device or TV has the latest software version. This will ensure you get the newest updates for the Roku streaming platform. You can find the "My Entertainment" tab next to the "Streaming Store" tab, which is located between the "Streaming Store" and "My Offers" tabs.
The My Entertainment tab has the following categories: Continue Watching, Save Lists, My Favorites, Favorite Live TV Channels, and Apps.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if there's anything else you would like to address.
Cheers,
Riamie
Makes absolute no sense that this is/has been a reoccurring issue.
First they remove it from the home page sidebar, then they put it back?
Oh know i get it now. Its because they have a UI team department that needs to be employed also, so they are always changing things based on what now?
That time like would be correct for me - I believe it was the 21st or 22nd. I can confirm that it is not a hardware issue as I have (2) Roku Plus TV's, a Roku Select and (2) Westinghouse/Roku TV's and they all have the same issue, all less than 2 months old & have up to date software. However, "Continue Watching" still comes up on the Roku App.
OK, so it seems like we are making some progress, and I'd say it happened within the past couple of hours. I have "Continue Watching" back on the "What to Watch" screen. However they have now added an "Explore Recommendations" row at the top, then "Continue Watching", then "Your Apps" (which is redundant as it's already on the Home page), then "Save List". I would prefer "Continue Watching" then "Save List", then whatever else Roku want's to sell.
What would be nice is the ability to choose and reorder the rows we would like to display.
But thanks for the improvement.
Forget the "What to watch"
! Roku has just added a new category - "My Entertainment" and it only has "Continue Watching", "Save List", "Roku Live Favorites", and "My Apps".
Perfect - please don't mess with it! Thank you.
Yes, progress. Continue Watching has returned.
Haven't seen a "My Entertainment" section. It doesn't sound particularly helpful.

Curious. The device says I'm up to date; yet no "My Entertainment" category.
Software version:14.0.4
Build 12230
I notice that although "current" as of today, it also says there has been no update since 11/15/2024.
Odd that "Continue Watching" can disappear and reappear without an update. This tends to indicate the problem is tied to other content (ads, live previews, seasonal sections) that are pushed to the device.
Further diagnostics should focus in that area and better reviews initiated to ensure this extraneous data is clean before being pushed out.
It is definitely something the Roku pushes through without a software update as I still have the same version/build. Odd how everyone does not get the change. It must be done by account as I have multiple TV's, some ROKU brand, and some Westinghouse/ROKU and they all have the change.
I like the new "My Entertainment" because there is no clutter. We have just come to streaming from good old cable boxes that were easier to use, especially for my wife. We tend to like getting caught up on series a few at a time, so the "Continue Watching" is very convenient for us, and the save list very handy, especially when we want to watch something else.
One bug I have noticed that what we watch on Prime does not appear on the "Continue Watching". I can put them on the "Save List". Maybe someone from ROKU reading this can look into that.
