I've been struggling with this for a while, but Amazon Originals (like Reacher, Bosch, etc.) only play in Spanish... despite both Roku and Prime Video settings are set to English.  

Other Prime Video titles play in English... just not the Amazon Originals.  

Been beating my head against this for awhile until I get pissed and just play it on my iPad and use AirPlay... but that's just a workaround...

I want to figure what the root of the problem.

While playing the Prime video on your Roku:

• Press down-arrow to bring up Prime's on-screen controls, and again to go to the lower row.
• Go right to the Audio options and click on it.
• Click on your choice of language.

This answer does not work. Changing language settings does not change the Reacher show being in Spanish.

Thanks for bringing to our attention that the Amazon Originals on the Prime Video channel plays in Spanish. We would like to coordinate this with our Roku team for review.

Before proceeding, we would like to know if this occurs in all movies and TV shows within Amazon Originals.

We would like to know the following information to help us investigate the issue further:

• Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version and build. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
• Tracker ID (press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
• Channel build version (highlight the channel and press the star (*) button of your Roku remote)

Issue started recently, other amazon shows that I checked are ok but Reacher is in spanish. Unknown if more shows than Reacher are affected.

Thank you for sharing the information about your Roku device. Is the issue you’re experiencing specific to the Reacher TV series on Amazon Originals, or are other TV series and movies within Amazon Originals also affected? Additionally, have you attempted to watch this content on a non-Roku device?

Reacher, Clean Slate, those two are 2025 and in Spanish. Could be others.

Librarians and older shows in English. I didn't check more than two.

Unknown what other shows are affected.

So far it seems to affect ALL Amazon Originals, including older ones like Season 1 of Invincible (2021), which I know I watched in English with a Roku when it came out.

To be clear, it doesn't happen with other, licensed video... only Amazon Originals.

An interesting "coincidence" is that all the AMAZON Originals no longer allows Apple AirPlay to stream to other devices from iOS.  This would indicate an update or change in DRM.

This could mean that Amazon Originals have different DRM compared to licensed video.
