Hi kim33, do not waste your time with this nonsense, they will never respond intelligently.
They post the same standard response which makes no sense. No one here has ever addressed this.
We must just accept that what we consider a bug they consider a feature.
Reminds me of Apple "It's not a bug it's a feature."
Is there is fix for this yet?
My TCL Roku tv has just started doing this. From various reports of this occurring over several months from various Roku customers it seems like this issue is being ignored.

Hi @Christo01,
Thanks for taking your first post here in the Roku Community!
We appreciate you for sharing your concerns and providing the device information. May we ask when did you start seeing the issue? Are there any recent changes on your Roku device perhaps in the setup or settings that might cause the problem? In addition, Could you also tell us the specific troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
All the best,
Chel
No this forum is a waste of time and effort.
There has been no intelligent response posted from Roku.
No one in this particular thread from Roku has any idea what we're meaning or that it's completely on their end and a random change that no one set up or wanted. I had my satellite receiver hooked through live tv (using channel 3 like way back when on VCRs) and when this changed, i went out and got a cheap adapter and plugged it into the tv, which fixed my issue, but doesn't help everyone else who really use the live tv setting. and no one here wants to do anything but ask the same questions repeatedly and insist all the users did things wrong instead.
Hi Chel
No changes have been made to it. It was working correctly then suddenly developed this fault.
This is what should happen/used to:
1. Select “live TV” from home screen
2. live tv loads to last channel viewed - this is broadcast TV.
what now happens:
1. Select “live TV” from home screen
2. live tv loads to “TV guide” (freeview play) -
3. Have to press “back button” to hide “tv guide” .
4. Last channel viewed is now shown.
as others had said, this is a new issue that has only just started happening.
Just to follow on, here’s the additional information.
although I suspect it won’t be of much use as the TV doesn’t see it as a issue.

Please use issue ID LP-513-382 to report the current issue.
Another interesting point is if you use the mobile app and select “live tv” from “recent apps” it will load the last channel watched on live tv correctly.
however, if you select “Live Tv” from the Home Screen with either the remote or mobile app it will load the “tv guide” first.
Hi @Christo01,
Thanks for keeping us posted!
We would recommend restarting your Roku device. Please navigate from Settings > System > Power > System restart (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) and see if it helps.
Please keep us posted regarding the behavior you are experiencing, and we will be more than happy to continue assisting you further.
All the best,
Chel
I’m just now seeing this. I wasn’t going to try those. It’s the same non sense reply as all the others. Thanks you for your response.
