I have a similar issue. I have a Paramount+ account that I want to log into with the stand alone app, but because I used a promo offer and got a Paramount+ account on Roku I can not sign in to my stand alone Paramount+ account on the stand alone app. It keeps saying that "You already signed up on The Roku Channel, but to take full advantage of your Paramount+ subscription, create an account so you can:". Then I can only create an account not log in.
I tried to follow the steps you listed but I am not able to remove the Paramount+ app.
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We understand your concern regarding the sign-in issue with Paramount+, and we're here to provide you with the right information.
Take note that a subscription to a premium app through The Roku Channel can only be accessed within the app itself. In this case, since the subscription was made through The Roku Channel, access will be limited to the Roku Channel app, and you cannot use the credentials to sign in with the Paramount+ stand-alone app.
For more information, you can enjoy the same content and shows with Paramount+ through The Roku Channel, same with the stand-alone app at Paramount+.
We hope for your understanding, and feel free to reach out to us anytime for support. We're here to help.
Best wishes,
Kash
