I have a Roku Express and I just got a Roku tv. I can't get ESPN+ or NBA apps on the TV because roku says I already downloaded it. But it was downloaded to the device and not the TV. The Roku Express app for my iPhone sees the device, but not the TV. It seems like my Roku TV doesn't like sports fans.
Hi @Snakecharmed,
Welcome to the Roku Community.
Congratulation on your new Roku TV! Let us help you add these channels to your new Roku TV.
Please be advised that when you add an app to your Roku device, you’re actually adding it to your Roku account. As a result, the app will automatically be added to all Roku devices linked to your Roku account. The same goes for when you remove an app, it will be removed from all Roku devices linked to your Roku account.
May we ask if have you successfully activated your Roku TV? If so, kindly check your list of apps on the home screen and you'll be able to find those channels.
Additionally, if you wish to add your Roku TV connected to your Roku mobile app, learn more here: How to connect the Roku® mobile app to your Roku device over Wi-Fi
Hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
Regards,
Nimfa
There is no ESPN+ channel app. ESPN+ content is accessed through the standard ESPN channel app and is marked with ESPN+ in the upper left corner. To view this content you must have a paid ESPN+ account and have logged into it.
Viewing regular ESPN content (i.e. not marked as ESPN+) requires a paid "tv provider" account to a service that carries ESPN, and to have authenticated with that tv provider account.
