i want the ROKU commercials to stop interrupting bob ross please! 
i’ll even pay separately for his channel and for it to go back to the way it was! 
there used to be only calm meditation music and floating art that would come on and now there is horror movie trailers and really loud commercials !! 
the only reason i want this channel is cause he is calm and my kids love it too… but we dont want all these darn commercials

The Bob Ross channel was developed by Cinedigm.  If you go to their website, they currently advertise three channels at the top in rotation: Screambox, Bloody Disgusting TV, and Bob Ross.  So, I guess I’m not too surprised that you see horror movie trailers. As stated above, Cinedigm, and Bob Ross control the channel and the business model, but you can let them know that you would be willing to pay to eliminate the commercials.  If they get enough messages like that, they might consider it.

The commercials that are invading the channel are all Roku commercials..

there used to be a count down of 2 mins or calming music with sea life swimming in the air and it was magnificent! 

once in a while we will get the countdown like right now but this is the first time in days that it has been here and it is making us not want to watch

 I did however email the company but I feel like you guys can do something too please, especially since the commercials have the words spoken and written on the screen are ROKU…

So funny story… 

I have gotten a very very inappropriate commercial and as I was panicking telling my 12 year old son to look away (a woman having sex and being transported every time she has an orgasim) while I was finding the remote to change it or anything and I changed the channel and then I went back by accident cause I was panicking and WHAT DO YOU KNOW THE COUNTDOWN THAT IS NORMAL TO BOB ROSS SHOW WAS THERE…. And it was not enough time for that commercial to be over… and my son says “coincidence?”… I wasn’t sure because i noticed that a couple times before but I figured it was just my imagination and coincidence …! BUT just now there was some sort of Disney commercial on that I wanted to try and see if switching the channel would work and GUESS WHAT the commercial was gone and the countdown was back so WHATEVER YOU GUYS ARE DOING STOP IT 😓 

I will be recording next time to prove it ..

It won’t let me post the video I just took of this ROKU commercial **bleep** that is invading the Bob Ross channel !! 

ROKU please fix this “glitch” it is very annoying and MOST TIMES INAPPROPRIATE…. Horror, sex, violence… 

I am glad I figured out how to fix it however I DON’T HAVE THE REMOTE IN MY HANDS AT ALL TIMES! And can’t change it fast enough and my kids having to cover their eyes isn’t enough when sex noises or demonic sounds are coming out of THE CALMEST CHANNEL THAT HAS EVER EXISTED …

Try watching the Bob Ross LiveTV channel on the free channel/app PlutoTV or Plex and see if you have a better experience.  It looks like the Plex channel/app has the music/countdown break you were referring to.

Both these free channels (Pluto and Plex) are available in the Roku Channel Store.  When you open these channels/apps, just search for "Bob Ross" and you will see the LiveTV channel offerings.

Sadly I think the problem is Roku.. 

I haven’t used Pluto or plex before however I just added Pluto (when I saw your comment)and I added it before responding and can’t find Bob Ross on it at all.. don’t know how I guess lol the only live Bob Ross is on Roku live tv that I have found so far, and that’s what we have always watched it on having the breaks and stuff..

but I did find it on prime (which is a million times better, cause I can actually watch the whole ep and pause) so I guess Roku losses my vote cause this is sooo effing annoying.. should/seems like a simple fix…

Roku needs to know how their stuff works..

Folks, it's the way ads are even on TV. The makers of the ads produce the ad so it sounds louder to get your attention. Technically, they up the "average level".  That is how we perceive sounds. Basically they compress the audio on the ad and then up the level. Blame the producers of the ads.
