Wireless Doorbell w/ Camera

When first installed the battery charge on Wireless Doorbell last four months. I took it down at 30% to recharge. It took FOUR days to recharge !!  Why so long ? And I could only get it up to 85%. So I replaced on outside bracket while I figure the problem with y’all.  Any help or suggestions ??

Also, when bell is pressed, it goes blank and I see nothing on cellphone. I don’t know who is at the door.  In a minute or so it starts back showing the outdoors.

Any reason why or where this is setup incorrectly ??  I am not tech savvy, but I hung and setup from instructions by myself. Kind of pleased with my efforts, but this has been a problem since day one, I’ve looked everywhere for a solution. Any suggestions for this problem ??

Thanks !!

Re: How do you check battery level on a Roku wireless doorbell camera

Please read my posted question here again. I know how to check battery level, it’s the (1) charging doorbell camera question and (2) the blank view if someone presses the button, I see just a blank screen (not good) every time, so I don’t know who is there.

I'm not good with technology although I hung and setup by myself with instruction sheet. These two inquiries have me wondering if they can be fixed.

Thanks!!

Re: Wireless Doorbell w/ Camera

Hi @LaNetteMathews,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community! We are glad to have you here.

We understand that your Roku Wire-Free Video Doorbell took four days to charge and that it goes to a black screen when the doorbell is pressed. We would be more than willing to assist you with this.

We highly suggest you try the following and let's see if this will work for you.

• Restart your Doorbell:

  1. Loosen the security screw at the bottom of the doorbell
  2. Remove the backplate of your doorbell by sliding it down and then pulling it away
  3. Press the Power button to turn the doorbell off
  4. Wait 10 seconds
  5. Press the Power button again to turn the doorbell on

• Factory reset your Doorbell:

  1. Unmount your doorbell but leave it connected to the power
  2. Press the Reset button
  3. Wait for your doorbell to restart

After a successful reset, you will hear "Ready to connect" and you will see the status light flashing yellow.

After that, set up the camera again. Please refer to this Roku Support article: How to set up your Roku Wire-free Video Doorbell and Chime SE

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if the issue persists.

Cheers,
Riamie
