Roku Indoor Camera SE 2-way audio not working

Just purchased 3 indoor cameras, for the sole purpose of being able to communicate with our family at home when we are at work or not home. We can hear & see perfectly but when we use the cell phone to communicate to device you cannot hear anything it is soo low the sound is almost non existent. Please help! I do not want to have to return all 3 cameras.

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you for bringing to our attention that your three Roku Indoor Cameras have no sound coming through the camera. No worries, help is here!

Before we continue, please make sure that your Roku Smart Home app has permission to send and receive audio in order to use the two-way audio feature. You may refer to Apple or Google support websites for assistance enabling permissions on your mobile device.

In the meantime, please follow the troubleshooting steps below and see if this will work for you.

  1. Ensure that your Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
  2. Force close the app.
  3. Power cycle the camera:
    1. Unplug the USB cable from the back of your camera
    2. Wait 10 seconds
    3. Plug the USB cable back into the power input port on your camera
  4. Factory reset the camera and set it up as a new device.
    • Note: The Speak feature will not work if you are actively on a phone call. Phone calls take precedence over this feature when the mic is in use.
