Wire free doorbell only recording 12s videos

I purchased a new doorbell camera and I have the settings set to a maximum video length of 180 seconds, but it is only recording 12s clips when it detects a person, pet, etc.   How do I get it to record longer?

Thank you for sharing your concern about your Roku Video doorbell, which will only record events for 12 seconds. We would be more than willing to assist you with this concern.

Let's see if this will work for you.

  • Ensure that your Roku video doorbell and Roku Smart Home app is up to date
  • Reset your Roku vIdeo doorbell by following the steps below:
  1. Open the Home screen on your Roku Smart Home app
  2. Select your device
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete device

After your device is reset or deleted from the app, set up again the device. Please visit our Roku Support article: How to set up your Roku Wire-free Video Doorbell and Chime SE
