What effect does a signal jammer have on the operation of Roku security cameras?

Jump to solution

Will having an SD card in the Roku Camera give it the ability to record to the SD card instead of needing the wireless connection for video saving if a person has a signal jammer?

Hi @Momma_Bear,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We would be more than willing to provide you with more information about using an SD card for a Roku Smart Camera.

Micro SD cards serve a crucial role in smart home cameras by capturing motion events and storing recordings directly on the card. When a Micro SD card is physically inserted into the camera, it ensures that all footage is saved, even if the camera loses its wireless connection.

Even if the smart home subscription fails to detect motion, the camera will still diligently record every moment onto the SD card. This feature allows you to retrieve and review any missed events easily. Simply remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into a computer to access and view the recorded footage, providing peace of mind that no important moments are lost.
