Anyone aware of any alternate firmware for these cameras?
I have 2 brand new Roku indoor camera SE’s - I have a 2.4 Ghz network through Comcast/xfinity -
Using the app, the camera cannot get connected to the router, ( even though the router logs show “connected” The network name and password have been confirmed, I have many other IoT 2.4 devices connected with no issues. I spent 40 minutes on the support chat but was unable to resolve and finally just disconnected me. Any attempt to reconnect the chat was quickly disconnected again.
I am a Senior Systems Engineer with 40 years of IT experience, ( I worked at NASA ! ) so I am pretty sure I have my network working correctly ! Relying SOLELY on a poorly coded app without an alternate connection method ( such as SSH or TFTP or even HTTP ) is pretty sloppy - I have no choice but to return the camera and tell my client to buy products that are actually supported. ( My bill for the time is already more than 100 of these cameras !)

Re: Roku Indoor Camera SE will not connect to WIFI for set up
I have done all on your cheat sheet & it sill will not connect to my wifi despite multiple tries. I connected a new phone recently so I know my password is correct. I rebooted etc. that's on your directions. My cameras are three feet away as well as my phone, so I'm in range. The cameras came on and said their proper messages.
But it still won't connect. I've worked at a college help desk so I'm not bad at this stuff. But this is impossible.

Re: Roku Indoor Camera SE will not connect to WIFI for set up
I agree with you 100%. Just tried to add 2 new cameras and followed the procedure exactly as described. The cameras timeout and fail each time after scanning the QR. The really bothering thing is I already have 4 se cameras and a doorbell camera setup on my network. The network hasn't changed since setting up the se cameras over a year ago. My eero 6 router allows me to block 5 ghz to allow for 2.4 ghz setups and it's still not working out. I too will be returning the 2 new cameras.
