Hi @Cheapass,

Thank you for your first post here in the Roku Community!

We understand you are having a problem with the picture quality of the Roku camera, and it was lagging also. We're happy to assist you further. Please try to check if there is an available update on the Roku smart home app, and the Roku camera as well by following the steps below.

  1. Select a device from the Home screen in the smart home app.
  2. Tap Settings in the top corner.
  3. Tap Device info.
  4. Tap Firmware version to see the current software and build version and check for an update.
  5. If a software update is available, tap Update.

After the software update is finished, your smart home device will automatically restart.

If the problem still persists, could you send us a photo of your running issue?

We hope this helps, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks,
John
