Hi @RMC0107,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thanks for reporting your concern about the Roku Outdoor Camera that won't charge. We would be more than willing to assist you with this concern.

To start, we would like to know if this issue has occurred since first receiving the device or after a period of time.

In the meantime, we recommend you follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  • Make sure that your Roku Outdoor Camera SE is plugged in directly into the Base Station.
  • To ensure the camera’s battery isn’t draining as fast as it’s charging, make sure it’s turned off for the full 4-hour charging duration.
  • Try using a different charging cable, like a Micro USB plug type.

If this issue occurs after a period of time, please follow the details below. Otherwise, let us know.

  1. If the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery) does flash red when connected to a charging cable but the battery level still shows 22% or 0% in the app, this is likely not a hardware defect. Try re-pairing the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery)  with the Base Station.
  2. If it has already been set up successfully, make sure the camera has the latest firmware installed.
  3. Manually switch the camera on/off using the power switch on the back of the camera.
  4. Then kindly provide the following: Log ID
  • In the Roku Smart Home app, tap Account > Roku Support > Submit a Log.
  • Choose the Outdoor Camera > Battery Performance.
  • Next, fill out the details, and ensure Send log files is checked, then tap Submit.
  • MAC ID: This can be found at the bottom of the camera.

Please try the suggested troubleshooting process and please keep us posted.

Riamie
