Ok I said I would come back with an update. I have since had resolution to the cameras not being able to see any live view. I did receive 2 separate phone calls from Roku Tech support about a week apart. I knew what was happening was not making any sense because I could see the live view on my old Vizio TV with my Roku TV adapter. So yes after the Roku firmware updates, nothing worked on the phone.
Thanks to a phone call from tech support, it was discovered that my android phone had an outdated android software version. I have always checked for new updates and mine has never updated. The last version for my phone is a 12 and I was still operating under a 9. My fix was I had to go to Samsung support to which they instructed me to download Samsung Smart Switch and get the updates from there. Wow, 6 hours later, a backup and downloading all the versions to get to the last one.
I am a little tech savvy, but software is my downfall. Please pass this on in hopes that it helps any one of the many people having the same issues. Hoping this also helps the Roku chat support section to maybe add this to their suggestions of solutions.
I absolutely appreciate the call from Roku and then the followup call to further get me a solution.
