Cameras linked to two accounts?

Can someone explain to me how my fiance can view my live feeds ony cameras, after I've reset the password and clicked "log out of all devices"? I was giving him the new password and when he pulled up the cameras I realized it didn't log him out and he could still view them all. So...who else can do this too despite me changing my password?

Re: Cameras linked to two accounts?

Hi @cristyj,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

We're glad to assist you with your inquiry. Please be advised that the only way to view the Roku Smart Home camera's video is to sign in to your Roku Smart Home account, where your cameras are linked, on the other person's phone. This way, he or she can start viewing the camera's videos. Once you decide to discontinue his or her access, you'll have to manually sign out of his or her phone.

We hope this helps.

Kind regards,
John

Re: Cameras linked to two accounts?

No, if you'll re-read my post...I had just changed my password and clicked the option to log out of all devices. All of my devices were logged out of, and required me to sign back in. Except my fiance, who has been logged in on his device under my account. When I went to give the new password, we realized he hadn't been logged out. He was able to view the cameras live feeds without being promoted to log back in. He was not able to view the events, but could access every camera live feeds, without having my updated password. I changed the password because we had been hearing strange noises and people talking, as well as thumbnails being present of live recordings we didn't take. We are afraid someone else has gained access to the cameras and can view them without my updated password, just as he was able to. I'm not sure how much clearer I can possibly make this. This is a huge security issue, and I will be contacting law enforcement and the media if someone doesn't look into this Roku.

Re: Cameras linked to two accounts?

Thank you for keeping us posted, @cristyj!

We would be delighted to help you even more. Please try to manually sign out of your fiance's Roku smart home app. You may easily monitor and hear what is happening in and around your house by watching a recording or the live video stream on your RokuSmart house camera or video doorbell.

Two-step verification is a feature in the Roku Smart Home app that adds an extra layer of security to protect your account and smart home devices from unauthorized access. You will be prompted to provide a one-time-use verification code each time you sign in to the smart home app. You can receive the code via SMS text.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know in case you still have any questions.

Kind regards,
John

Re: Cameras linked to two accounts?

I already have two step verification set up fory account....but listen...that only counts if the person IS SIGNED OUT. Yes, I am distinctly aware of the fact I can view a live feed of my cameras...AS CAN SOME UNAUTHORIZED PERSON/PEOPLE. Because either one of two things happened: A. ROKU FAILED to sign me out of all devices when I changed my password, as I selected. Or B, my cameras are linked to a separate account. WHICH IS IT ROKU? Stop having ROBOTS answer my question and get me a real person.
