Hi all! I recently inserted an SD card into my Roku indoor SE camera and started a time lapse over night. Yesterday I was periodically checking the storage being used so far and everything seemed fine. This morning I go to check and it says no SD card is detected.
This is my first time using the time lapse feature on this camera. Will the whole recording be saved in the smart home app or will I need to insert the SD in a computer or other device?
Thank you in advance.

Hi @novyam,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thank you for sharing your concern about your Roku Camera that suddenly does not detect your micro SD card. We would be more than willing to sort this out for you.
Before we proceed, we would like to inform you that you can watch a time-lapse recording from your album in the Smart Home app or remove the micro SD card and view it on your computer. However, a time-lapse recording can only be saved to a micro SD card.
We commend you try these troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
- Remove the microSD card, power cycle the camera, then reinsert the microSD card.
- Check to see if another device will recognize the microSD card (i.e. another camera, computer, etc.).
- If another device can detect your micro SD card, remove it from the camera, factory reset the camera, and reinsert the microSD card again. How to factory reset your Roku Smart Home device
- If no device can detect your SD card, reformat the microSD card. How to format your micro SD card
If the micro SD card is not detected by any other devices after you have reformatted it, it may be corrupted and should be replaced with a functioning one. However, if only the Roku Smart Home Camera is unable to detect the card, please inform us.
We hope you find this information helpful. We look forward to your response.
Regards,
Riamie
