Hi @892,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you are experiencing issues with your Roku camera, specifically that it is not capturing recorded events and that the camera name has changed. No worries; we would be more than willing to sort this out for you.

Let's see if this will work for you.

  • Restart your camera:
  1. Unplug the USB cable from the back of your camera
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Plug the USB cable back into the power input port on your camera
  • Remove the camera from the Roku Smart Home app:
  1. On the Home screen, select your smart home device
  2. Tap Settings

  3. Scroll down and tap Delete device
  4. Tap Delete or Yes to confirm your selection
  • Setup the camera again:
  1. Open the Home screen

  2. Tap the plus sign from the navigation bar
  3. Select Add device
  4. Select your device category and then select a device (make sure you select the correct name of your camera)
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions

Please let us know if these troubleshooting steps help you to resolve your concern.

Regards,
Riamie

Wow, this is your solution?  Gotta say that is NOT AT ALL what I would expect from Roku, yet alone an adult, or security advisor, or IT consultanr, or kid at Best Buy.  I know you want to be user friendly, but this is ridiculous and should have been fixed years ago.  I can hardly recommend anything from Roku except to stay away from Roku products unless you believe in magic and like to change your password frequently.  After all that's the only real solution you've offered. Get it together, I thought you guys had been around for a while and you guys were somewhat knowledgeable.... I think my elderly parents who know nothing "tech related" have decided not to get a Roku now because of the complaints they heard from my brother and I.  Wiggle your nose so we can see the devices logged into our account and treat us like adults.  Please quit telling us to change passwords.  If something happens to any of the Roku networks do you guys just throw your hands up and start throwing coins in a wishing well that it might fix it? So if that's not your network security approach, why should it be ours?
