Hi @BHaas58,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
You may follow these instructions to unlink a device to your Roku device.
Note: Unlinking a device does not deactivate your Roku account or cancel any Roku billed subscriptions you may have.
And yes, he can create his own Roku account with his own Roku devices.
For future reference, here's how you can create an account and link a Roku device to your account:

I am in the same situation as @Vanessa601 but my question is: There is a total of 3 Roku's on my account & he has 2 of them at this place so will he be able to open his own account with those?

My mom used to live with me and now she moved.
can I give her my streaming stick? Do I need to unlink it from my account? Does she need an account?
@Gio2 You can just give it to her if she is going to use all the same channels as you. If not then do a factory reset on it and give it to her
Thank you for replying.
so if she wants to use all the Chanel’s she used here we don’t need a factory reset?
she moved to an apartment and the remote doesn’t respond at all so I thought I couldn’t use it outside my house? Any thoughts?
thanks again
@Gio2 Ok so now the situation is different. You already gave your mother the Roku? The Roku needs to connect to her WiFi. Which Roku model is it? Or is this currently in your home and the remote doesn’t work?
I went to her apartment and plugged to her tv. The roku scream showed up but the remote doesn’t work at all.
mim unable to connect to her Wi-Fi because the remote doesn’t work.
I was wondering if the reason it doesn’t work is because I’m not at my house?
She moved just a day ago and everything worked here. The roku was installed on her tv at my house, now doesn’t work.
