Westinghouse Roku TV won't connect to Xfinity Cable box

Good morning. I purchased a Westinghouse Roku TV. I want to connect it to my Xfinity cable box. We have it paired with the correct HDMI port but the only message we keep getting is that is looking for a signal. What am I missing?

  • Is the cable box on and awake?  Some cable boxes can be turned on and off or just go to sleep after awhile.

One annoying situation I've run into is that some cable remotes have a master on/off button that sends a power toggle code to the TV and the cable box with one button.  It's great when they're in sync, if they get out-of-sync, you can press that button a hundred times, and in one cycle, the TV will be ON and the cable box will be OFF, and in the next cycle, the TV will be OFF and the cable box will be ON - repeat. The solution to that one, is to grab the TV remote and press Power once.  That will put them back in sync.

    Hi Capecod1

Thanks for reaching out about your Westinghouse Roku TV not connecting to your Xfinity cable box. We're here to assist you.

Quick questions — Have you tried plugging your Xfinity Cable box HDMI cable into another HDMI port on your Roku TV? Have you also tried connecting it to a different TV to see if the same issue happens?

In the meantime, we recommend restarting your Roku TV and unplugging your Xfinity cable box from the TV, then restarting it as well.

    Keep us posted.
