ways to fínese : without the remote ?

so long story short. i’ve returned to the same location i was at two weeks ago for a work trip. i unfortunately forgot my remote. my phone remembered the wifi so i prayed my fire stick would so i could just connect my phone but unfortunately the connection didn’t restore. is there anyway to fínese this 😭 the only solution i’m thinking is to facetime my roommate and see if the remote works through facetime. but idk, please help or lemme know if i’m wasting my effort and just need to get a new remote 🙏🏽
