Wallpaper keeps changing

I like using the "default" plain old blue background wallpaper. After a few hours or overnight, when I return, the wallpaper has switched back to a "dynamic" wallpaper.

 

I've checked for updates, restarted, turned off seasonal and sponsored to no avail.

This has become annoying to me. What can be done to resolve this issue?

    Hey, gratajski.

    Just checking in to see if you’re still having the issue. If you are, maybe give your Roku a system update and see if that fixes it.

    I recently installed two new Roku sticks.  I also have a new Ultra, but it doesn't exhibit this issue.  The sticks seem to have an issue with the wallpaper changing back to the default every few days. 

    I have set the seasonal wallpaper = OFF
    I have set the sponsored wallpaper = OFF
    I have rebooted the devices several times.
    I have manually checked for system/software updates.

    Each time I set it back to the default (solid bluish/purple) background, it eventually changes back to the Dynamic theme and, I think, something like the Roku City background.  On my older Rokus (2021 vintage), the Dynamic theme didn't appear.  Even when I select a different theme and customize the wallpaper, it still goes back to the Roku city wallpaper, even though it preserves the sounds from the theme I selected (default sounds).

    How can I get these devices to stop changing the wallpaper automatically?

    Try "Removing" the dynamic wallpaper that keeps appearing.

    Go to Settings/Theme/Wallpaper and select the dynamic wallpaper.  Press OK.    Then Select "Remove Wallpaper"

    Also, make sure that the Wallpaper you want to use is Selected and has a green check mark to it on the Wallpaper screen. (the check mark indicates the active/selected wallpaper).

    With Seasonal and Sponsored disabled, Roku should only change from your selected wallpaper if that particular wallpaper becomes "unavailable" for some reason.

      Thanks for the quick response.

      Okay, I went in a deleted all the "dynamic" themes but was unable to "remove/delete" one. It does not even provide an option to remove.

      I'll wait a few hours and see how it goes. Unfortunately, the issue only happens after a few hours being idle.

        Just checked. Wallpaper reverted to dynamic "Welcome to Roku City". Unable to delete this wallpaper.

        This is just crazy!!
