Voice Remote won't work on RCA Roku TV with Telus Optic box

We have an RCA Roku TV model RTRU4328-CA. We lost the original TV remote somehow, and thouoght I'd be able to program the Telus Optic remote to work the TV.  No way, tried dozens of codes.  So I bought a Roku Voice remote, thinking it will work on the TV.  Nope.  Won't do anything.  Any ideas?  Thanks!
