Incorrect. There were two different versions for sale. The Ad-Free version was more expensive.
We have not had any ads on this since we bought it in 2021 until recently. I thought it was a glitch so I restarted it and waited but it keeps happening, so that's why I came here.
I think you may be confusing Roku with Kindle? I know the latter makes an ad-free version. I've never heard of an ad-free Roku, and the model number you listed was a standard Roku Express.
Nope, definitely Roku. We did move and buy a few different Roku products, though, so maybe I am thinking of a different one? But there were no ads on here until recently, though.
I mean no ads on the home page, not in the apps, btw.

I didn't spot an ad-free one in there but maybe I'm not searching for the right thing.
It was a while ago when I bought it but I very clearly remember choosing, and paying more for, the one without ads. Maybe the model I listed is not the Ad-Free one, but it truly is a thing, I didn't imagine it!
We bought 3-4 Roku sticks and a Roku TV in the past 8 years, it was definitely one of those that gave me the choice of not watching ads.
But this one didn't have popup ads until recently and that is NOT ok. I will stop using it, this isn't acceptable no matter what.
