Not a question, im here to say im throwing my Roku in the trash and picking up an Apple TV+ from Best Buy tomorrow morning.
This new inability to hide ads at all is psychotic and the last straw, you are craven moneygrubbers in the worst sense and i hope your company collapses under the weight of your own greed. Jesus. Christ.
I want to thank Roku for rolling out this 'trial' of auto playing video ads when they did. My 11 year old dumb TV has been having issues and I need to purchase a new TV. Since it's nearly impossible to find a decent dumb TV anymore, I'm forced to buy a not so smart TV. But now, there is NO WAY that I will never own a Roku OS TV and the stick I thought I OWNED will be recycled.
Frankly, a class action should be started against all of these bait and switch companies. Honestly, a company could easily come along and take this market by storm by removing all of this stupidity. All they would have to do is give control back to the consumer, instant market dominance.
Again, thanks Roku, for showing the world your game plan! Morons; no wonder you can't turn a profit with your obviously bloated company.
