TV and connected devices via Ethernet port

can a roku tv be used as a wireless network access point for a wired blu ray player using the Ethernet port in the TV?

  • Hi eschalon,

Thanks for the inquiry, and welcome to the Roku Community!

Please be advised that a Roku TV cannot be used as a wireless network access point for a wired Blu-ray player using its Ethernet port; it only functions as a device that receives internet access, not as a router to distribute it to other devices like a Blu-ray player.

Please let us know if the issue is fixed or reply to the thread for further assistance, we will be glad to help you.

    Kind regards,
    John
