Turning Off Closed Caption

Yeah, this has been come very annoying. I’m constantly turning off closed captions across various apps daily.

    We understand you're experiencing a problem with the closed caption on the apps that won't turn off. Here's how to turn off the closed captioning on your Roku device. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Captions > Captions mode and select Off. For more details about it, please refer to this link.

    Also, just a quick note that individual apps have their own settings that may override the settings in the Roku menus. The app providers are responsible for managing their content programming, including the closed captions and subtitles. If turning off the closed caption on the Roku device settings doesn't work, contact the app provider directly.
