time out bar slider at bottom of screen during pause

I have an 4660X ultra 4K, not a roku TV.  Is there any way to have the bar at the bottom time out when it's on pause?  It often hides something I want to see on the screen, including CC, Closed Captioning.  Or suggest this to roku for inclusion in the next update?  Thanks.

    What app?  Every one I've used it does time out, but it generally takes way too long.  Some apps think they know better and override Roku's default behavior (I'm looking at you YouTube).

      Thanks, I mostly watch britbox, Netflix and Amazon prime, I'll triple check if the behavior is different on different apps.
