Single Remote Desired on TV
I set up the Roku Express on my Insignia TV. I discovered after setting up that the remote supplied with this earlier version that it does not have a volume control button. I need my Insignia remote to control sound only, the remote included with the Roku Express does everything else. I would like to not have to deal with two different remotes, so I purchased a supposedly universal remote on EBay with voice control, but the TV does not recognize. Are there any options for me to control everything with a single remote? Suggestions appreciated. Thanks
Hi KevinNJ789,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thanks for reaching out about this. It seems like you have a Roku simple remote that doesn't have any volume or power-off buttons.
This means that this remote cannot work also to control the volume of your TV.
Here is what you can do.
- Roku voice remote can be used to control both your Roku device and your TV volume and power off. You'll need our support page here to assist: How to set up your Roku® voice remote to control your TV
- You can check this remote here on our official product page: RokuProducts.
We hope this helps!
Thanks,
Rey
